What is the walrus’ habitat?

The walrus's habitat is in the Arctic Ocean and the subarctic regions. They are typically found in shallow, coastal areas where there is access to both ice floes for resting and diving for food such as clams, mussels, and other shellfish. Walruses also spend a lot of time on land, preferring to haul out on beaches or rocky shores where they can rest and socialize. They are adapted to survive in cold temperatures and are most commonly found near Alaska, Russia, Canada, and Greenland.
