Each entity pursues their own interests without considering the detrimental effects on the whole. As a result, the actions of many contribute to environmental degradation, leading to climate change, rising sea levels and a host of other problems. b) One approach that may lead to a solution of the problem is a collective action by individuals, communities, corporations, and governments to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. Such collaborative effort can be supported by international agreements, such as the Paris Agreement, to mitigate the effects of climate change. Additionally, policies, laws, and regulations can be enacted to discourage the overuse of natural resources and encourage sustainable practices. Efforts should also be made to educate people on the importance of protecting the environment, and encourage people to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.
