    The rise is -2 because the line is moving downwards (i.e. in a negative direction) from point A to point B. The run is 3 because the line is moving to the right (i.e. in a positive direction) from point A to point B. Rise and run are based on the direction of movement of the line, not the direction in which the points are labeled.
