A, B, and D are all appropriate answers to the question. Muscular contraction is stopped through a combination of the brain stopping the nerve impulse signaling the muscle to contract, the release of Acetylcholineesterase (AChE) to destroy remaining Acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft, and the myosin heads being 'snapped' off of the thick filaments, which interrupts the cross-bridge and allows for muscles to stretch. Option C is not accurate, as antagonistic muscle contraction does not directly force relaxation and stretch of the agonist muscle, but rather works in opposition to it. Option E is also not entirely accurate, as while the brain plays a role in stopping the contraction, it is not the only mechanism involved.
